BARGAIN HUNTING:AN IRISH-OWNED travel company has launched a new accommodation website listing more than 100,000 hotels in over 14 000 destinations worldwide and a number of features which will allow users interact with others when planning trips.

The website hyhohotels.com, plans to go toe-to-toe with the big players in the online travel market including lastminute.com, hotels.com and tripadvisor.com.

It has a tool that allows people to compare its prices with the other players in the online travel space without needing to visit multiple websites.

As with TripAdvisor – the leading player – the site has hotel reviews written by paying customers. It has a chat function that allows people to discuss destinations and a “book now pay later” policy which will allow people to book for any future date and only pay seven days prior to travel.

The company also plans to offer car hire, theatre tickets for West End and Broadway shows, attraction tickets and airport transfer services.
